So we're here in the studio messing around with grasshopper, I mean we have to stay current right? To those who aren't architects, this is the program that has all the old timers really upset! General comments like, the younger generations stopped drawing, architecture is getting too fast, these programs rule young impatient brats: are common ideas thrown around. Truth is that they are absolutely correct! For many, but not for us! As totally inhumane as this may sound, this program is capable of producing geometry that looks BORN, rather than designed, but that's just fine with us.

So, back to the problem, there was this idea floating around between us, perhaps we could script something to create modular furniture. Or a surface that could be a piece of furniture, or whatever, even a building, just blow it up in scale! When we thought of furniture, we started drawing, messing around with some models, trying to find something ridiculous and compelling to us, but it all came down to what seemed comfy. So much crap has been put out there... what could be a fixture in any home, what about some decadent wannabe classic home that could be anywhere, with a library full of people magazines and architectural digest! They'd need a leather couch, a tufted couch! of course one that you could get from restoration hardware! So here we are, synthetic tufted leather for all!

thanks go out as per usual to our good friend Shepp, we can't do this without you.
